Hospitality Containers

NZBOX Hospitality Containers are a distinctive layout, unique to NZBOX. They have been designed to provide vendors with the work and bench space they need, with ample power options, and the option to open up multiple serving windows to best operate in fast and busy locations. Available in either 10 foot or 20 foot, they cater to a range of applications and set ups – from a small pop up retail outlet or ticketing booth, to a full commercial kitchen with servery or bar.

NZBOX Hospitality Containers are great options for those looking for unique and portable kiosk solutions for trade, entertainment, and sporting events.

Frequently asked questions

How can hospitality businesses effectively utilise shipping containers for innovative pop-up venues or food stands?

Hospitality businesses can effectively utilise shipping containers for innovative pop-up venues or food stands in various creative ways. One approach is to leverage the mobility and versatility of shipping containers to set up temporary or semi-permanent food and beverage outlets at events, festivals, markets, or outdoor spaces. These containers can be customised and equipped with kitchen facilities, serving counters, seating areas, and branding elements to create a unique and engaging experience for customers.

What are the key considerations for designing and outfitting a hospitality shipping container?

It is essential to plan the layout effectively to optimise the limited space available. This includes determining the placement of kitchen equipment, service areas, seating arrangements, and storage solutions to create a seamless flow for both staff and customers. Incorporating proper ventilation, lighting, and insulation is also crucial to ensure a comfortable environment for both patrons and employees. Compliance with health and safety regulations, accessibility standards, and any local building codes should be a top priority to guarantee the container meets all necessary requirements for operation.

Are there specific regulations or permits required when using shipping containers for temporary or permanent hospitality establishments such as restaurants or cafes?

In New Zealand, specific regulations and permits are required when using shipping containers for temporary or permanent hospitality establishments like restaurants or cafes. Businesses looking to set up such establishments using shipping containers must comply with the New Zealand Building Code and local council regulations.
