Insulated containers

An Insulated Shipping Container can maintain a fixed ambient internal temperature. Although these containers are not refrigerated, they have heavy-duty insulation that will keep goods at the correct temperature and free of contamination. If you need to transport or store temperature-sensitive products, hiring an Insulated Shipping Container is the perfect solution.

Frequently asked questions

Are there different insulated shipping container sizes?
Our Insulated Containers are available in 20ft and 40ft sizes.
What are the uses of insulated shipping containers?
These containers are readily used for the transport of goods that require consistent ambient temperatures (like some foods, beverages, pharmaceuticals etc). They are also great to use for personal long term storage for clothes, furniture, books, food storage (in particular honey products) and even wine cellars. They are also sometimes modified to serve as an office, workshop or shed.
What are the benefits of an Insulated Container?
They hold a fairly event ambient temperature compared to a standard dry container which can fluctuate a lot if in direct sunlight. They also have reduced condensation and have sound proofing qualities if you are in an area with unwanted sound pollution. They are also excellent at holding warm or cool air with the addition of a heat pump (we sell a range of heat pumps suitable for shipping containers).
What sort of condition are they in?
Insulated containers are ex-refrigerated containers where the machinery is considered to expensive to repair. This usually happens around the 12 year mark. Since refrigerated containers are about 5 times the price when made they tend to be better looked after during their lifetime, therefore, they tend to be in better condition than a similar aged standard shipping container.
