Lockboxes

A lockbox is essentially a steel box that is fixed to the container either through welding or bolting on, that covers the padlock. A lockbox gives you the added security of deterring criminals by just adding that extra layer of protection. Lockboxes make it nearly impossible to reach the padlock beneath with bolt cutters or other tools.

    Lockbox – Weld On

The lockbox design involves a back piece that can be bolted or welded onto the container door, hiding the lock and making it inaccessible via bolt cutters to reduce the chance of breaking and entering.

    Lockbox – Bolt On

Lockboxes are extremely effective at deterring criminals. If you do not have access to a welder then the bolt-on lockbox is an ideal way to give your container extra security. All you need is a drill and it can literally be fitted within 10 minutes. We highly recommend this option for all second hand containers.

Grades Guide

New One Way Trip

New containers in the best condition for when you need something that looks great. Direct one way used from the factory. All come with fitted lock box for security.

A Grade

Usually 10-12 years in age. Newly painted in good quality wind and watertight containers. Still suitable for shipping.

B Grade (Standard Grade)

These containers have typically been involved in international shipping for 12 plus years, so will have bumps, bruises, patches, scrapes, and in-service repairs on them. They will have corrosion consistent with the shipping environment they operate in, as you would expect but they are wind and water tight and vermin proof. Pricing reflects the age. This is the most commonly purchased grade of container.

C Grade

Usually 12-15 years. Still in Wind and Water condition however starting to look a little bit tired with the usual surface corrosion, dings, dents, scratches and patches. Often have had some repair work done, and have the battle scars to show for it. Priced cheaper for those on a budget.

D Grade

Sold in “As Is” condition. When appearance and weather tightness is not important. Our most affordable container.
